Press release Ridgewood High School Exam Results

Another year of improved results was celebrated at Ridgewood High School today. There were smiles all round as students collected the grades which they had worked so incredibly hard for. This Year 11 was the smallest cohort in the school, but they exceeded all expectations.

Because there has been another year of improvements across sixteen of our subjects, with so many above national averages, there is much success to share. Our top performers this year are: Eleanor (eight Grades 8 and 9), Will and Madeleine (five Grades 8 and 9), Megan (four Grades 8 and 9), Beth, Millie, Taylor and Teigan (all with five or more Grades 7 and 8).

James Cannon, Deputy Headteacher, said, “Throughout the exam period, students revised hard and had an excellent focus on wanting to achieve the best they could. They spoke often about feeling well prepared and were frequently confident when they left the exam hall, feeling that they had a done a good job. The actual results show this to be completely true with so many students getting exactly what they deserved. “

Rae Cope, Headteacher, said, “We are very lucky at Ridgewood. We have a winning combination: great students, supportive parents, expert teachers. When you add that to the good start they get from our local primary schools, then it’s clear that our students will succeed. We wish all our Year 11 good luck and happiness in the courses they have chosen for next year. They have been a lovely group of students who will definitely do well.”
