Year 10 Exams

Year 10 English Spoken Language Endorsement - Formal Assessments

Our Year 10 students are to be formally assessed on the Spoken Language Endorsement (SLE) component of their GCSE English Language qualification on the following dates:

Tuesday 17 June

Wednesday 18 June

Thursday 19 June

Assessments will take place throughout the day on Tuesday and Wednesday, and during Periods 1 and 2 on Thursday.  Students will be given a specific timeslot to attend their assessment.  If students have any questions about their assessment, they should speak to their English teacher as soon as possible.

Year 10 GCSE Art - Practical Assessment Mock Exam

Year 10 GCSE Art mock exams are to take place on Friday 20 June; this practical assessment lasts all day (5hrs).  If students have any questions about their Art assessment they should speak to their subject teacher as soon as possible.

Year 10 French Speaking Tests - mocks

Our Year 10 GCSE French students'  French Speaking Test mocks are to take place on the following dates:

Tuesday 24 June

Wednesday 25 June

Thursday 26 June

Friday 27 June

Tests will take place throughout each day, and students will be given an individual timeslot to attend their assessment.  If students have any questions about their assessment, they should speak to their subject teacher as soon as possible.

As our Year 10 students prepare for their exams, it's essential that they assess their understanding of each topic and focus on areas that need improvement. Using the confidence grids below will help to guide their revision journey.

How It Works:

  • Look at the Topics: Review the list of topics provided in the grids below.

  • Check Your Knowledge: For each topic, rate how confident you feel in your understanding.

  • Target Your Revision: Based on your self-assessment, prioritize the topics you feel least confident about and dedicate more time to revising them.
