Year 10 English Spoken Language Endorsement - Formal Assessments
Our Year 10 students are to be formally assessed on the Spoken Language Endorsement (SLE) component of their GCSE English Language qualification on the following dates:
Tuesday 16th June 2026
Wednesday 17th June 2026
Thursday 18th June 2026
Assessments will take place throughout the day on Tuesday and Wednesday, and during Periods 1 and 2 on Thursday. Students will be given a specific timeslot to attend their assessment. If students have any questions about their assessment, they should speak to their English teacher as soon as possible.

As our Year 10 students prepare for their exams, it's essential that they assess their understanding of each topic and focus on areas that need improvement. Using the confidence grids below will help to guide their revision journey.
How It Works:
Look at the Topics: Review the list of topics provided in the grids below.
Check Your Knowledge: For each topic, rate how confident you feel in your understanding.
Target Your Revision: Based on your self-assessment, prioritize the topics you feel least confident about and dedicate more time to revising them.
